The chronicle of the Institute of Advanced Management and Technology (IAMTECH) speaks volumes and constitutes distinct milestones of which the founders/proprietors, students and our country should be proud. It all started 22 years ago as a small training centre. Since then it has developed progressively into the most competitive and productive tertiary educational institution in the country.

noble institution of which we are all proud of, this article presents a brief synopsis of its steady progress since its inception. Initially known as the Kissy Computer Training Institute (KCTT), it has responded to the demands of the age with alacrity. On the 16th July 1991, history was made, the former KCTT successfully worked its way up and assumed the status of an incredibly, accredited tertiary educational institution with the enviable bent for modern computer science and technology and other relevant training skills and qualifications which are required for the socio-economic development of our country. Since then it has been renamed the Institute of Advanced Management and Technology (IAMTECH).

Innovation and diversification of the country tertiary provisions remains the guarding principles of IAMTECH Mission and Vision. In addition to computer science and technology and professional management training, this institution offers academic courses in French, et al. It is gratifying to note that in recognition of its efficient and relevant services and contributions to the middleman power skills and qualifications required for national development, in 1994 the Ministry of Education accorded it accreditation as the first computer institute in the country. This was followed by another accreditation and upgrading in 1996. It added another feather to its cap by signing a franchise agreement with the Genetics Computer School Singapore, which links IAMTECH with Chico State University (California) and Manchester Metropolitan University (UK).
